Trilogy Week #32 - Make Your Own Superhero

Everyone know what a superhero is. Superman, Spiderman, Captain America. Fantasies of a lot of comic book readers wishing they could have superpowers. But there are heroes without powers, like Batman, Ironman, The Punisher. So how can you be the next Batman? Here are three movies about three people who tried their hands at fighting evil in their home towns.

My Review: Basically if Forrest Gump wanted to be a superhero. Woody Harrelson plays a guy who not quite "all there" upstairs. and is looking for the man who killed his mother when he was a child. I love this movie, Harrelson does such a good job portraying this character, he makes you believe this is real. Which is hard to do, who going to believe in a movie about a guy with mental problems could make a convincing hero. But Harrelson pulls it off flawlessly. He makes this movie work. 9 out of 10 wasps in a jar

My Review: From the writer of the Dawn of the Dead remake, and the Director of Slither comes Super. Rainn Wilson plays a great character of a desperate man trying to save his wife from a bunch of drug dealers. In my opinion this movie is more brutal than Kickass. Kickass is hollywood movie violence, this film feels more real to me. I'm mean Rainn's weapon of choice is a pipe wrench. That's pretty hardcore. James Gunn is like Robert Rodriguez, where he can make a lot out of a small movie budget. A must watch for Kickass fans.  9 out of 10 fingers of God
